Croda unveils Atlox Metasperse™ 650S: a solid aqueous dispersant for granule formulations
The innovative Atlox Metasperse 650S addresses common challenges associated with WDGs, such as agglomeration, initial dispersibility, and poor suspensibility when granules are first introduced to the spray tank.
Positioned as a superior alternative to Naphthalene Sulfonate Condensate (NSC) chemistry, which has long been a staple in the agrochemical market for its reliable performance, Atlox Metasperse 650S offers significant enhancements. It provides superior suspensibility, wettability, and granule breakup within WDG formulations. Additionally, it is non-hazardous and exhibits excellent hard water tolerance both before and after granule aging.
James Hunt, Ag Strategy Director at Croda, stated: “This addition to Croda Crop Protection’s product portfolio represents a significant advancement for solid-based products. The acrylic hybrid chemistry of Atlox Metasperse 650S enables its use as a standalone solution without the need for co-dispersants, while also ensuring compatibility with common wetting agents. Its increased bio-based content and non-hazardous nature, makes Atlox Metasperse 650S an ideal choice for agrochemical formulators aiming to transition away from traditional hazardous chemicals.”
Croda continues to lead the industry in providing innovative solutions that enhance the performance and safety of agrochemical formulations.
