Tween 20 is a sorbitan fatty acid ester ethoxylate and is a well-known highly effective adjuvant.
Croda's Tween 20 has been the workhorse nonionic surfactant adjuvant for several decades and consistently demonstrates both high levels of activity across broad varieties of pesticidal active ingredients as well as providing superior plant safety. It has a long and robust history as an "activator adjuvant" performing across such varied herbicide classes as glyphosate and triketones. Tween 20 has a substantial positive track record with many global agricultural companies and often appears as a screening tool when assessing the bioavailability of new active ingredients and formulations. Like many liquid polysorbate surfactants Tween 20 displays mammalian and ecological safety, biodegradability, excellent physical properties, ease of formulation, superior dilution performance and virtually no phytotoxicity. Tween 20 also offers ready availability and safety with demonstrated biological performance in combination with many pesticides. (Agrow Reports. Adjuvants and additives: 2006 edition).
This product is suitable for use as an inert ingredient in combination with permitted active pesticidal ingredients according to US NOP. OMRI-Listed grades are available.

Croda has advanced Tween 20 technology offering three polysorbates with differentiated performance and enhanced benefits for modern formulations. Tween 20 has long been established as an effective adjuvant for built-in and tank-added applications with an advantageous ecological and toxicological profile. The latest Tweens allow formulators to push performance forward with trusted and familiar chemistry. Tween 22, Tween 23 and Tween 24 offer enhanced surface activity to provide better wetting, lower equilibrium surface tension (EST) and lower contact angle compared to Tween 20. Tween 24 can significantly increase yields and reduce land use. In reducing the land required to grow the crop, significant carbon and water savings can be achieved, this has been externally validated by Avieco. Easy to use, it also shows improved performance with various hydrophilic herbicides, all with minimal impact on registration due to the fact it has the same CAS as Tween 20. This product is suitable for use as an inert ingredient in combination with permitted active pesticidal ingredients according to US NOP. OMRI-Listed grades are available.

Atlox Metasperse 650S is a solid aqueous dispersant designed for use mainly in water dispersible granules (WDG). It can also be used in other formulation types such as suspension concentrates (SC), wettable powders (WP), and oil dispersions (OD). Atlox Metasperse 650S addresses common challenges associated with WDGs, improving suspensibility, wettability, and granule break-up. As a dispersing agent, it exhibits excellent hard water tolerance both before and after granule ageing. Its increased bio-based content and non-hazardous nature make Atlox Metasperse 650S an ideal choice for agrochemical formulators aiming to transition away from traditional hazardous chemicals such as naphthalene sulfonate condensate (NSC). The dataset showcasing the performance of Atlox Metasperse 650S as an aqueous dispersant includes active ingredients, atrazine, metribuzin, and orthosulfamuron. The initial tests include particle size distribution, suspensibility, granule break-up, and percentage dispersibility of the material in water.

ECO Tween 23 is part of Croda’s ECO range of surfactants that are 100% bio-based and 100% renewable. Produced using renewable energy, ECO Tween 23 has a lower carbon footprint but identical performance to the petrochemical-based Tween 23. ECO Tween 23 is based on the well-established Tween 20 polysorbate technology but with a different number of moles of ethylene oxide (EO). This provides differentiated performance whilst maintaining the preferred ecological and toxicological profile of Tween 20. ECO Tween 23 can be used as an agricultural adjuvant or a high HLB emulsifier particularly suited to systemic active ingredients as it provides superior penetration and humectancy. It is also suitable for use as an inert ingredient in combination with permitted active pesticidal ingredients according to US NOP and OMRI-Listed grades are available.

Atlox 4917 is a novel, aqueous dispersant delivering robust stability in complex and problematic formulations. Designed to expand our range of aqueous dispersants building on the well-established technology of Atlox 4913 and Atlox Metasperse products. This new innovative dispersant chemistry is easy to use and compatible with a wide range of active ingredients making it very convenient. Atlox 4917 is a suitable alternative to ethoxylated tristyrylphenol phosphates (TSP) dispersants as it is non-hazardous. It has proven performance; in high loading active ingredient formulations, in multiple active ingredient systems, at a low use rate, in SCs containing surfactant-based adjuvants , with electrolytes (both hard water and glyphosate) and in an SE acting as both a dispersant and emulsion stabiliser.

Atlox 4915 is a highly effective multifunctional surfactant. It functions as an electrolyte tolerant dispersant and/or adjuvant. It revolutionises the formulation of aqueous dispersions and has been shown to perform consistently in the presence of concentrated agricultural electrolytes. Our experimental data demonstrates the superiority of Atlox 4915 over benchmark products in herbicide combination systems such as glyphosate and atrazine or diuron.
The adjuvant performance of Atlox 4915 is shown to be at least comparable to tallow amine ethoxylate when tested with glyphosate. Croda recommends Atlox 4915 for use as a dispersant and/or adjuvant in Suspension Concentrates, Soluble Concentrates & Suspoemulsion formulations.

Atplus DRT-EPS is a tank mix adjuvant that combines adjuvancy properties, spray quality and drift control into one convenient product. It readily disperses in a tank mix meaning that no additional products are required. By controlling spray quality and reducing droplets that are prone to drift means that there is less wastage of products and less potential to damage neighbouring surroundings and habitats. Atplus DRT-EPS improves biological efficacy and benefits are observed with multiple active ingredients, nozzle types and spray pressures. This product is suitable for use as an inert ingredient in combination with permitted active pesticidal ingredients according to US NOP. OMRI-Listed grades are available.

Hydravance 200 enhances the penetration of water into hydrophobic soil, improving the wetting and percolation of water throughout the soil profile. Treatment with Hydravance 200 has the potential to improve the absorption of an agrochemical treatment into the soil. By improving penetration into the root zone and evenly distributing the treatment the application is more effective. Hydravance 200 helps to retain moisture within the soil, maintaining agrochemical treatments in solution for longer, nurturing seed and plant development and improving treatment bioavailability. We have identified that Hydravance 200 can contribute to four of the sustainable development goals (SDG).
